About Me

I don't believe your body needs to be fixed.

I believe it deserves to be Supported.

For years, we’ve been told to chase the next diet, follow more food rules, and “fix” every symptom.

But what if your body isn’t working against you?

What if it’s trying to communicate with you?

Your energy, digestion, cravings, hunger, mood, and the way you feel each day are all valuable signals. Learning to understand those signals is where true nourishment begins.

As a Registered Dietitian practicing functional nutrition, I help women connect the dots between nutrition and how they feel through evidence-based education, practical tools, and compassionate guidance.

My goal isn’t to give you another set of rules.

It’s to help you better understand your body because you are the expert on your own body. I’m here to help guide you and I am so happy you are here!

Welcome!

Amy Batteram, MPH, RDN

My Story

Unlike other Dietitians, my journey wasn't shaped Just by textbooks.

It was shaped by my own experiences…

Through navigating my own health challenges, I learned that healing isn’t about finding the perfect diet or chasing quick fixes. It’s about getting curious, understanding your body, and making sustainable choices that support your health over time.

That experience deepened my passion for functional nutrition and strengthened my belief that every person’s health journey is unique. Yes, I learned a lot in my undergrad and graduate programs, but real life experience has shaped how I practice as a Dietitian today.

Today, I combine science with a whole-person perspective to help women feel informed, empowered, and confident in their health choices they make everyday.

The Dietitian Behind the Recommendations

Before I became a dietitian, I was simply someone who felt things deeply and noticed more than I sometimes knew what to do with.

I used to think that sensitivity was a weakness. Now, I see it as part of what taught me to listen – to notice when someone says they’re “fine” but clearly isn’t, to question whether a recommendation actually fits their life, and to look beyond the symptom to the person experiencing it.

That’s a big part of how I practice nutrition today. I’m less interested in giving you more rules and more interested in asking, “What’s actually going to help here?”

Few Lil Things About Me

When I’m not diving into the latest nutrition research, you’ll probably find me:

🐾 Taking walks with my sweet pup, Lola

☕ Enjoying a slow morning with coffee or matcha

🥾 Exploring the outdoors and finding moments to slow down

🥗 Creating nourishing meals and finding joy in the kitchen

I also share a more personal side of my journey through Paws & Perspective, a space inspired by my sweet, sensitive pup, Lola. Here, I share reflections on what it means to build a well-fed life….through nourishment, daily routines, connection, and the small moments that help us care for our bodies and minds.

Because being well-fed is about so much more than what’s on our plates. It’s about creating a life that supports you with curiosity, compassion, and intention.
